I have been searching for many years for the perfect underseat bag. I finally gave up and made one. With just a minute of planning, everything you need to access during a flight will be right at your fingertips. Just reach down and unzip the fold out front pocket for small items such as a phone, wallet, book, pen, or snack. There's even a spot for lip balm! The main compartment can hold enough for an overnight trip in case they lose your luggage. I put my entire purse in it along with a pillow and wrap and breezed right through security. There is also a generous zipper pocket on the inside. On the outside is a large pocket on one side and on the other a sleeve for securing to your rolling suitcase.
This handsome bag is made from a coat weight wool blend herringbone, trimmed in beautiful black leather. The leather side trim is also on the bottom so it slides easily under the seat. The bag is fully lined in sturdy polyester pack cloth. There are short leather straps for hand carrying and a detachable 30" leather strap for the shoulder. The zippers are top quality YKK. This bag is 14" long X 9 1/2" wide X 9 1/2" tall. The last two photos show the World Cities pattern under the seat of a 767.
If you don't like digging for your stuff while on the plane, this bag will become your favorite seatmate. It is sturdy enough to stand up by itself but is soft-sided and flexible.
